CHORIZOS EN VINO

Paprika sausage cooked in wine

Chorizos en vino

One of the most popular tapas specialties is chorizos en vino, paprika sausage in wine. You can enjoy this delicious treat in almost every tapas bar.

It can be prepared with white wine, red wine, or cider. Preparation is quick and easy. In this recipe, I use white wine.

This dish is also ideal when you have guests over.
Ingredients

6 chorizo sausages (sweet paprika sausage)
250 ml white wine
50 ml water
2 bay leaves
1 pinch of salt

Preparation: approx. 20 minutes
Difficulty: very easy
The preparation

Step 1:

Pour the white wine and water into a pot.

Step 2:

Prick the chorizos several times with a fork and add them to the pot along with the bay leaves and a pinch of salt. Bring everything to a boil. Then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 15 minutes. Turn the chorizos occasionally while cooking.

Step 3:

After cooking, remove the chorizos from the pot, cut them into 1-1.5 cm thick slices, return them to the pot, and simmer for another 5 minutes. Swirl the pot occasionally.

Step 4:

Then place the chorizos in a deep plate or bowl and pour the sauce over them. Remove the bay leaves. Serve hot for maximum enjoyment!

Variations: You can also use spicy chorizos, red wine, or cider.
