Datiles con Bacon are dates stuffed with almonds and wrapped in bacon. This tapas specialty is particularly popular during the Christmas season.

They taste sweet, salty, and spicy all at once, which makes them incredibly delicious.

They can also be prepared without almonds. They are quick and easy to make.
Ingredients

12 pitted dates
12 almonds
6 slices of bacon
Sunflower or mild olive oil

The preparation


Step 1:

Fill each date with a whole almond. Cut the bacon slices in half and wrap each half around a date. Secure with a toothpick so that the bacon stays in place and does not unroll.

Step 2:

There are now two ways to prepare the dates. Fry the dates in hot oil for about 2 minutes or fry them on both sides in a pan with a little oil.

Serve the dates immediately. A real treat.
