The preparation
Step 1:
Peel and slice the potato and carrot. Halve the pepper, remove the seeds and cut one half into strips and the other half into cubes. Cut the cauliflower into small pieces. Peel and crush the garlic.
Step 2:
Pour the olive oil into the paella pan, sprinkle in a little salt and heat.
Step 3:
Then reduce the heat to medium and add the onion, potatoes, garlic, diced and sliced peppers and carrots and fry until the onions are translucent. Then remove the pepper strips and set aside.
Step 4:
Add the cauliflower and beans and continue to fry for approx. 5 minutes.
Step 5:
Finally, add the water, paprika powder and saffron and simmer for approx. 20-25 minutes. Season to taste with salt.
Step 6:
Then sprinkle in the rice, distribute evenly and continue to simmer until the rice is cooked and the water has evaporated.
Step 7:
Garnish with the pepper strips approx. 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time. After cooking, leave the paella to stand for approx. 5 minutes. Done!
