The preparation
Step 1:
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Wash the potatoes and cook them with the skin on, along with the carrots and peas, until tender.
Step 2:
Cut the bell pepper into strips and fry in a pan with a little oil.
Step 3:
Place the cooked potatoes, carrots, and peas in a colander and allow to cool slightly.
Step 4:
Peel and slice the potatoes. Dice the carrots.
Step 5:
Place the potatoes, carrots, and peas in a large bowl and mix well. Then add the mayonnaise and chopped tuna and mix well. Season with salt to taste.
Step 6:
Slice the gherkins, olives, and hard-boiled eggs.
Step 7:
Place the salad on a platter, shape into a hemisphere, and garnish with the bell pepper, gherkins, olives, and eggs. Refrigerate for about 1 hour and serve cold.
